Michael Lachman is President of EyeQ Research, which provides market research, analytics, and strategic insights and advisory to ophthalmic industry companies and investors. He brings 30 years of experience in the healthcare field. Before launching his consulting practice in 2005, Michael was a Managing Director and research analyst with ThinkEquity Partners, a growth-focused investment bank, where his research was focused primarily on ophthalmology, orthopedics, and specialty cardiology. Before that, Michael was a healthcare analyst with SAC Capital Advisors and Jurika & Voyles, and a medical device analyst with Hambrecht & Quist, where he received a #1 ranking in medical industry stock picking in the Wall Street Journal All-Star Analyst Survey. Michael worked for five years in business development for the Ethicon Endo-Surgery division of Johnson & Johnson, and for seven years with Baxter Healthcare Corporation, working in both research & development and marketing, with a focus on implantable surgical products. Michael holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and a BS in Aeronautical Engineering with highest honors from the University of Illinois.
